Goodbye Friend. New video... old song... reimagined.

Greg would love to share with you, a new video, to an old song, Goodbye Friend.

A year ago today he lost Woolly. A dear companion, and friend for nearly 16 years. You might guess that with a name like Woolly… he was a dog! You'd be right.

The song was originally released in 2009 on an EP called Songs Of Remembrance.

It was written for a human friend, who, throughout the time Greg knew him, never called Greg by his name. He only ever called him ‘friend’.

Greg asked Paul Linale if he would rework the song as a celebration of life in general, and he recorded the song again from scratch, performing and producing all the music, with Greg's new vocal added.

He has done a wonderful job, creating a beautiful, uplifting, moving piece.

So whether you have shared your life with a dog or not, it doesn't matter.

The song is really about friendship.

Here is to friendship, in all it's forms!

The Fire Inside. The new video. Celebrating the age of steam railways, by way of a true story...

‘The Fire Inside is wonderfully evocative of the steam age, a lovely song’. East Somerset Railway.

Greg has released a moving video to illustrate his song, The Fire Inside, which is taken from his latest album Vignettes.

A great uncle of Greg's, William Albert Victor Gladman, fought in WW1. At the outbreak of the war he was serving in the Royal Engineers. In September 1917 he enlisted into the Railway Operating Division, and was then sent to Passchendaele. He survived the war, and later returned to working on trains for the rest of his life, driving the Flying Scotsman service from London to Edinburgh for many years.

Using his story as a background, the song celebrates the age of steam railways, heritage railways, as they have now become. To help keep alive the memories of what was once an important way of life, work, means of travel and communication, for so many people.

We hope you enjoy the sentiments.

The Flying Scotsman celebrates its centenary this year.

The haunting new video of 'The Old Boneyard' taken from Greg's new album VIGNETTES.

All Hallows' Eve is the perfect day to release this haunting new video of The Old Boneyard, a song taken from Greg's new album Vignettes. The song has a visual nod to the classical piece Danse Macabre. It was written to help cherish, and keep alive, the memories of all those laid to rest within Broadwater and Worthing Cemetery.

Once lovingly maintained by James Stoner, its sexton for 27 years, it is now a haven for nature, contemplation, memories and imagination. We hope you will may find inspiration in the video and the song, and maybe if you are local too, spend some time to visit, and cherish, the beauty of The Old Boneyard.

Taking The Time... a stunning video of the lead track from the new album VIGNETTES.

On that score… the room will be well ventilated, numbers limited, and masks (should you wish to wear one) will be welcome too. If you wanted to bring your own mug for your beverage that would also be fine.
